Teachers use ABCmouse.com to supplement their classroom curriculum. Highly engaging and educational activities can be done with the class as a whole using a digital projector or Smart Board. Children work on computers individually, in small learning groups, or in a computer lab setting.
The philosophy behind Creative Curriculum is to implement developmentally appropriate practices. According to the creator, Diane Trister Dodge, "developmentally appropriate practice means teaching in ways that match the way children develop and learn so as to promote their optimal development and learning."
The Creative Curriculum for Preschool is based on five fundamental principles. The principles help guide practice and help teachers to understand the reasons for intentionally setting up the operating preschool programs in particular ways. The principles are as follows:
Positive interactions and relationships with adults provide a critical foundation for successful learning.Social- emotional competence is a significant factor in school success.Constructive-purposeful play supports essential learning. The physical environment affects the type and quality of learning interactions.Teacher- family partnerships promote development and learning.
Primary Prep embraces the principle of "linking social, emotional and academic growth." It is imperative that we offer children rich learning experiences that are age-appropriate yet individualized to meet specific learning styles. Creative Curriculum allows teachers the flexibility to utilize different teaching techniques while creating unique learning experiences within the curriculum's framework.
The risk of spreading communicable viruses at childcare centers is high because of the frequent sharing of toys, games and other items. With the ZONO, teachers can sanitize items throughout the day, without taking time away from teaching and caring for their students, creating a healthier environment for children to learn and grow.
Hello and welcome to our Preschool!
We strive to provide the highest quality care for your child's educational experience. Our emphasis is the development of the whole child with our major objective being to instill a love of learning.
We have been in the preschool field for over 20 years and will continue to grow as we capitalize on your child's gifts, talents and abilities. Since we opened our first preschool in 1995, we understand the concept of a successful program for children; one that fosters a love of learning while building positive peer/teacher relationships.
Currently, we have four preschools in our company and like each child, each school is unique. Different learning styles and programs are all cultivated with each child's specific needs and interests. Our staff is committed to ongoing professional development and we consistently implement the best practices and technology to ensure your child is a well-rounded confident preschooler. High reading and math scores of former students continue to affirm that your children are well prepared for Kindergarten and beyond.
We hope you find our program to be an environment that embraces and celebrates your child as an individual. We invite you to take advantage of the opportunity to visit one of our schools today.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has set 10 standards for early childhood programs that can help families make the right choice when looking for a quality preschool. The standards (and more than 400 related criteria) are based on research on the development and education of young children and were created with input from thousands of experts and educators from around the country. The standards define what NAEYC means- the world's largest organization of early childhood professionals - believes all early childhood programs should provide.
To earn NAEYC Accreditation, programs must meet all 10 standards. Most importantly, by achieving NAEYC Accreditation for our school, you are assured that our program has met and maintains the highest national standards for a safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate, educationally enriched learning program. Less than five percent of all programs nationwide have achieved NAEYC Accreditation. Our commitment to excellence is obvious!
